The present invention relates to a connection insulator for an extra-high voltage overhead electric power distribution line which enables relatively easy and stable installation of an overhead electric power line to be fixed to the upper part of an insulator main body as well as easy replacement even if the insulator main body is damaged. In the present invention, the connection insulator for an extra-high voltage overhead electric power distribution line to install an insulator body, where an overhead electric power line is fixed, to the arm of a utility pole includes: an insulator main body which is made of ceramic material and is installed by placing a fixing plate onto the arm of a utility pole; a first buffer member which is placed at the upper part of the insulator main body and is engaged by a fixing bolt; second buffer members which are installed at both ends of the first buffer member while facing each other; and an electric power line fixing member which is installed in the upper part of the two second buffer member and is to grip the overhead electric power line. In the central part of the insulator main body, a metal reinforcing piece for the engagement of the fixing bolt is buried. The first buffer member includes a vibration proof pad and a washer on both sides of a mounting unit having a disk shape. Each second buffer member includes: a cover placed on a cylindrical casing which is fixed to the top of an extension board; a spring inside; and a moving rod moving elastically in the up-down direction by the spring. The electric power line fixing member includes: a fixing socket which rotates around a hinge unit to be opened or closed; and a pair of engaging bands to apply pressure while surrounding a projection unit formed on the fixing rocket. |
