PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate material detecting tool resolving complexity in work, and improving safety.SOLUTION: A substrate material detecting tool includes: a cylindrical outer case 1; a detection needle 3 fixed on the outer case; a cylindrical needle case 4 provided on the outer case so as to move in longitudinal direction on an outer periphery of the detection needle 3; and a spring 5 for always energizing the needle case 4 in a direction in which the detection needle 3 becomes an embedded state. A stopper 43 is provided on either one of an inner peripheral surface of the outer case 1 and an outer peripheral surface of the needle case 4, and the other has a stepped surface 14 for regulating relative movement of the needle case 4 in an exposing direction of the detection needle 3 by butting with the stopper 43, and releasing the butting of the stopper 43 by the relative rotations of the outer case 1 and the needle case 4, and a cam surface 15 for permitting the relative movement of the needle case 4 in the direction in which the detection needle 3 becomes the embedded state, and guiding the stopper 43 to a position opposite to the stepped surface 14. |
