PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery capable of eliminating an overcharged condition by injecting a battery deactivation processing liquid into the inside of a battery case after a pressure type current cutoff mechanism is actuated.SOLUTION: Provided is a sealed battery equipped with a pressure type current cutoff mechanism 30 interposed between a connection terminal 31 and a cathode collector terminal 51, which, when an inversion plate 36 is deformed by a rise in the internal pressure of a battery case 15, electrically cuts off the connection terminal 31 from the cathode collector terminal 51. In this battery, the interior of the battery case 15 inside from the cathode collector terminal 51 is sealed by the inversion plate 36, and a protrusion 35B protruding toward the inversion plate 36 is disposed between the connection terminal 31 and the inversion plate 36, the protrusion 35B having a through hole 35D communicating with a hollow part 31B of the connection terminal 31 formed therein. When the pressure type current cutoff mechanism 30 is actuated, the protrusion 35B breaks through the inversion plate 36, causing the interior of the battery case 15 inside from the cathode collector terminal 51 and the hollow part 31B of the connection terminal 31 to communicate with each other via the through hole 35D of the protrusion 35B. |
