PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treatment method or the like capable of suppressing the clogging of a filter membrane.SOLUTION: Provided is a waste water treatment method comprising: a biological activated carbon treatment step of bringing activated carbon stuck with microorganisms into contact with organic matter-containing waste water to reduce the organic matter in the waste water; a flocculation step of at least adding an organic flocculation agent to the waste water subjected to the biological activated carbon treatment step to flocculate the organic matter; and a membrane separation step of membrane-separating the waste water subjected to the flocculation step with a filter membrane to separate away the flocculated organic matter.
