PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve traveling performance of a vehicle in a situation that acceleration slip of driving wheels easily occurs in starting.SOLUTION: Driving force of an engine 2 is controlled according to driver's pedal opening PPO. Whether a state of acceleration slip of driving wheels is predicted or not, is determined, and an upgrade &thetas; is detected. In a case of determining the state that acceleration slip is predicted in starting a vehicle, and when the upgrade &thetas; is a threshold value &thetas;t or more, the driving force of the engine 2 is reduced in comparison with a case when the upgrade &thetas; is less than the threshold value &thetas;t. That is, an early opening control characteristic is determined when the upgrade &thetas; is less than the threshold value &thetas;t in stopping the vehicle, a slow opening control characteristic is determined when the upgrade &thetas; is the threshold value &thetas;t or more in stopping the vehicle, and the determined control characteristic is kept until a vehicle velocity V after starting the vehicle, reaches a set vehicle velocity Vt. |
