PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device that receives input with an operation rod suitable for use in a portable terminal or the like, capable of easily being attached and detached and not making a user perplexed with handling when detached.SOLUTION: An input device 400 includes a support unit 401, a sensor 402 and a control unit 403. The control unit 403 includes an instruction generation unit 404 for generating a control signal in accordance with the direction and amount of tilt of an operation rod 410 detected by the sensor 402. The operation rod 410 is inserted into the support unit 401, and the support unit 401 supports the operation rod 410 in a tiltable manner. The sensor 402 detects the direction and amount of tilt of the operation rod 410 supported by the support unit 401. The instruction generation unit 404 of the control unit 403 generates a control signal in accordance with the direction and amount of tilt detected by the sensor 402. |
