PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means capable of keeping transfer speed constant.SOLUTION: A transfer method includes a transmission client and a reception server, in which the transmission client includes: transmission processing means for transmitting data having a predetermined amount of transmission data in a predetermined transmission period; transmission side virtual line management means for establishing virtual lines; and virtual line number determining means for transmitting first data of transmission data amount from the transmission processing means to determine m of the number of virtual lines on the basis of the number of period at which the first data has been completely transmitted, and the reception server includes reception processing means for receiving data from the transmission client in the predetermined reception period and for setting a reception period shorter than the transmission period included in the first data to set a buffer size for reception having a value larger than a value obtained by adding values of the transmission data amount and a header size of the first data.
