PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silent chain of which weight is made light and of which size is made small in its width direction by shortening a size of a short pin while preventing occurrence of excessive concentration of stress at the short pin of a rocker pin constituted by a long pin and the short pin.SOLUTION: A short pin 150 of a rocker pin 104 connecting a guide row and a non-guide row of a silent chain 100 passes through all the plates 130 in a width direction of all the plates 120 in the guide row and all the plates 130 in the non-guide row. The short pin 150 is provided with a stopper 155 that can be contacted with a contact part 135 of a plate 131 and a stopper 156 that can be contacted with a contact part 136 of a plate 132. The end surface 153 of the short pin 150 is prevented from being positioned within a pin hole 133A due to the contact between the stopper 155 and the contact part 135, and an end surface 154 of the short pin 150 is prevented from being positioned within an adjoining pin hole 133B due to the contact between the stopper 156 and the contact part 136. |
