PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high carbon steel sheet used as a raw material for high strength steel sheet component requested to have a Vickers hardness after heat treatment of 650 or more, having flexibility and good moldability before heat treatment, having excellent abrasion resistance and excellent plasticity compared to the hardness after heat treatment.SOLUTION: A high carbon steel sheet contains a chemical composition containing C:0.50 to 1.00%, Si:0.35% or less, Mn:0.60 to 1.00%, P:0.015% or less, S:0.0030% or less, Cr:0.30 to 0.60%, sol.Al:0.005 to 0.080%, N:0.0050% or less, one or two kind selected from a group consisting of Ti:0.0010 to 0.020% and Nb:0.0010 to 0.030% and the balance Fe with impurities, and content of Cr and content of Mn satisfy the (1) formula: 1.20≤(Mn/55)/(Cr/52)≤2.00. |
