Knitting arrangement is partic. useful in the form of a sewing-knitting machine for the production of textile material having filling threads, and employs two continuously driven conveyor chains equipped with hooks. The filler thread setter can be moved to and fro along two lines which are at right angles to the conveyor chain hooks.
