PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a system so as not to perform a write operation to a nonvolatile memory device when the nonvolatile memory device is near the end of its life, thereby preventing further deterioration of reliability of the nonvolatile memory device and preventing data corruption in the nonvolatile memory device.SOLUTION: The nonvolatile memory device, in which a normal-time operating system that supports the read and write operation of the nonvolatile memory device and a boot loader that starts the normal-time operating system are stored, can be connected with a host device. The host device determines on the basis of information obtained from the nonvolatile memory device whether or not a condition for reaching the end of the life of the nonvolatile memory device is met; and when determining the condition for reaching the end of its life is met, rewrites the boot loader so as to start emergency software that restricts a write operation out of the read and write operations during the next and subsequent startup times of the host device. |
