The present invention provides a bearer establishing method, a base station, a packet data gateway and a computer system. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a D2D mode indication requested by an AF entity or a proximity server for a source UE, said D2D mode indication comprising a first D2D connection setup mode or a second D2D connection setup mode; according to the D2D mode indication, establishing the D2D connection for the source UE when the D2D connection can be established successfully; or according to the D2D mode indication, when the D2D connection can not be established successfully, if the D2D mode indication is the first D2D connection setup mode, establishing the common connection for the source UE, and if the D2D mode indication is the second D2D connection setup mode, feeding back the connection setup failure response message to the AF entity or the proximity server. The present invention can reduce the service time delay, improve the service experience degree of users, and further decrease the signaling cost of the provider net.
