The plate (12) has recess (13) or partly circulating groove for receiving a friction element (14) e.g. O-ring or rubber pin. The friction element produces a static friction between the control plate and a housing part (10) of a hydrostatic machine (1) when the housing part is mounted together with the control plate of the hydrostatic machine, where the plate is provided in a disk shaped manner. The recess is arranged in a radial direction of the control plate. The housing part is provided with a receiving opening (11) into which the control plate is received. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembly of a hydrostatic machine.
