PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ferrite powder contained as a magnetic layer material of a thin film common mode noise filter in which an internal circuit pattern can be formed easily while ensuring excellent connectivity with an external electrode, and reliability for thermal shock, and to provide a production method therefor.SOLUTION: As the magnetic layer material of a common mode noise filter, spherical ferrite powder from which pores on the surface are removed is used. The ferrite powder is Fe-Ni-Zn-Cu system, and the average grain size is 10-50 μm. Production method of the ferrite powder includes a step for mixing a ferrite powder raw material and spray drying the mixture, a step for calcining the mixture subjected to spray drying at 800-900°C for 30-90 minutes, and a step for causing the mixture thus calcined to react at 1000-1200°C for 100-150 minutes. |
