PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross conveyance device capable of changing the positions of sheets transferred from a first conveyance section to a second conveyance section and sorting the sheets even if an exclusive member for sorting sheets is not additionally provided.SOLUTION: A cross conveyance device includes: a first conveyance section (1) sequentially conveying a plurality of sheets in a first conveyance direction (D1); a second conveyance section (2) conveying the sheets in a second conveyance direction (2) crossing the first conveyance direction (D1); a guide member (15) which abuts on first conveyance direction edges of the sheets conveyed out from the first conveyance section (1) and guides the sheets by a prescribed distance along the second conveyance direction (D2); and a control section (6). The guide member (15) is configured in such a manner that a position in a direction orthogonal to the second conveyance direction (D2) is changeable and is connected to a drive mechanism for driving the guide member (15). The control section (6) controls the drive mechanism to move the guide member (15) in the direction orthogonal to the second conveyance direction (D2) by prescribed quantity at a time when the sheets are sorted into sheet groups. |
