PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inexpensive and practical means and a method for cesium adsorption, that allow easy production, that enable adsorption, separation and removal of cesium ion in fresh water or sea water at an efficiency of nearly 100% for an extended period of time, and that reduce volume of secondary waste by incineration.SOLUTION: An active carbon is used. The active carbon carries: ferrocyanide or ferricyanide Fe and Co composition; Ni and Co composition; or Cu and Co composition to form an active carbon carrying cesium adsorbate. Instead of the above raw material, any of Co, V, Cr, Mn, Zn, Cd, Pt, Pb, and Ba may be employed as raw material thereof. |
