The invention comprises packaging for bulky articles having a three-dimensionally developed configuration, and is in the form of a packet which has a front wall, a rear wall and lateral walls, which form an internal packet cavity with a mouth, said packet being formed from flexible mesh material having open cells and containing strings which are movably interconnected so as to be able to reversibly change the three-dimensional configuration of the packet, providing for a change in the overall size of the packet when a bulky article is placed therein. The packet mouth is closed with the aid of a closure device comprising two extended fastening elements pulled through the front wall and rear wall of the packet symmetrically towards each other at a distance from, in the vicinity of and parallel to the mouth, thereby externally surrounding the lateral walls. The fastening elements have interconnected end parts, and at least one identification means which is arranged freely on said end parts so as to be displaceable and fastenable in a packet-fastening assembly in the vicinity of the closed mouth.
