<p>The tool holder has a case (16) which is provided with a retainer (17) in which a tool shaft is inserted to engage with a clamping surface (21). A recess (25) is formed between the front cutting face (23) and main cutting face (22) of the clamping surface. The clamping surface is divided such that the front cutting face is shorter than the main cutting face. A radial through hole is formed in the case by extending from outer side (35) of the base (12) to the retainer. A driver (37) to engage to the tool shaft of the tool is penetrated to the main cutting face.</p>
