PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device that improves focus detection accuracy without preparing reference data in advance.SOLUTION: The imaging device comprises: an image pickup element that has a focus detection sensor receiving a pair of rays of light from an area different in an exit pupil via a microlens and an imaging sensor receiving the ray of light from the exit pupil via the microlens; a deviation amount calculation section that calculates an image deviation amount indicative of a deviation between images indicated by a first image and a second image respectively corresponding to the pair of rays of light and output by the focus detection sensor and an image indicated by a third image output by the imaging sensor corresponding to the ray of light and arranged in the vicinity of the focus detection sensor; a signal correction section that calculates a correction amount correcting signal levels of the first signal and the second signal from the image deviation amount, the third signal, the first signal and the second signal to a signal level based on the third signal; and an AF control section that uses a first correction signal and a second correction signal correcting the first signal and the second signal based on the calculated correction amount to calculate a defocus amount. |
