A moisture-absorbing/releasing material containing a polyether-polyamide in which the diamine constituent thereof derives from a specific polyether diamine compound (A-1) and a xylylenediamine (A-2), and the dicarboxylic acid constituent thereof derives from a C4-20 α,ω-linear-aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, wherein given that the saturated moisture absorption rate when held at 23°C and 80%RH is normalized as 100%, the normalized moisture absorption rate is 1-50% after holding in a 23°C and 50%RH environment for 60 minutes after first holding in a 23°C and 80%RH environment until moisture absorption reaches a saturated state.
