1303742 Coating with aluminium alloys GLAVEREEL 26 March 1970 [2 May 1969] 14891/70 Headings C7A and C7F [Also in Division H5] A substrate having at least a surface of vitreous or ceramic material, e.g. glass, is coated with an aluminium alloy having a maximum resistance of 0À3 ohms per sq. by friction between the substrate and a metal member, e.g. a rotating disc. The Al may be subsequently anodized. In a vehicle rear window, silver may be applied to form end contacts. The Al alloy may be 0À4 to 1À6% by weight Sb, 2 to 10 Si and balance Al; 94À9 Al, 4Zn, 1À1 Sb; 90 Al, 10 In; 90 Al, 10 Ag; 97À5 Al, 1À5 Sb, 1 Pb; 94 Al, 5 Sb, 1 Pb; 95 Al, 4 Ag, 1 Sb; 95 Al, 4 Cd, 1Sb; 98 Al, 1 Mg, 1 Sb; 95 Al, 4 In, 1 Sb; 99À5 Al, 0À5 Sb; 99À2 Al, 0À8 Sb; 95 Al, 5 Si; 97À5 Al, 1 Si, 1 Mg, 0À5 Fe, 0À9 to 1 Si, 0À9 to 1 Mg, 0À5 Fe, 1À1 Sb, balance Al; and 0À9 to 1 Si, 0À9 to 1 Mg, 0À5 Fe, 1À1 Sb, 4À0 Zn, balance Al. |
