PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to use a position code that does not rely on any field.SOLUTION: A conversion device comprises: a coordinate acquisition part configured to acquire coordinate information having a plurality of dimensions and corresponding to a position within a predetermined range; and a code conversion part configured to convert the coordinate information acquired by the acquisition part into a position code including the characters of a character set, based on a character set composed of a number n (n is an integer of 1 or greater), indicating the level of conversion accuracy, and an m number of different characters. The code conversion part performs: a code conversion process in which coordinate information is converted into a first character-string for each dimension, the first character string indicating an m-notation with an n-digits obtained when a range for each dimension is divided into n-th power of m, each of the characters of the character set being corresponding to each of the values of the m-notation; and a connection process in which a first character-string indicating an m-notation with the n-digits obtained through the conversion by the code conversion process is connected to a second character-string in which characters are separately arranged in order for each dimension. The code conversion part converts the second character-string subjected to the connection into a position code. |
