A valve opening/closing device (400) for a medium-size bulk container, the container (1) comprising a base (3) and side plates (2); a valve (5) is mounted at the bottom of the container (1); the valve opening/closing device (400) comprises a handle (402), an actuator and a valve opening/closing mechanism; the handle (402) is mounted on the side plate (2) of the container (1) and is connected to the actuator; and the actuator is used to transfer the force applied on the handle (402) to the valve opening/closing mechanism to open/close the valve (5). A control handle is disposed at a proper position on the side plate of the container, thus facilitating the operation. Also disclosed is a container (1) comprising the valve opening/closing device (400).
