The present invention relates to a lighting system for a ship, more particularly, to a continuous lighting and emergency lighting system installed on a deck of a ship having a power generation facility to supply the driving power of all kinds of electronic and electrical devices. The continuous light and emergency lighting system comprises: a lighting facility for emitting light with power generated by the power generation facility according to a power control signal; a UPS for maintaining a charged state with the power generated by the power generation facility, and supplying the charged power to the lighting facility according to the control signal; an inclination detecting sensor for detecting the inclination of the ship, and outputting the detected inclination angle; and a control part for supplying the power to the lighting facility by controlling the UPS when it determines that the detected operational state of the power generation facility is abnormal, and flickering the lighting facility to warn an emergency state to the outside when it determines that the ship will be stuck on a rock in a state where the inclination angle detected by the inclination detecting sensor is inclined greater than the self-returnable angle of the ship as a critical value. The present invention is utilized as a continuous light system in general, but is utilized as an emergency lighting system by flickering the light to inform peripheral ships of the emergency state when distress situations caused by accidents, such as collision and others, are generated.
