The method involves applying of a high-pressure pump (22) for conveying fuel from a fuel tank (17) to an accumulator (20), and a pressure adjusting medium (23) for controlling the pressure in accumulator. The high-pressure pump is operated before execution of a fuel injection (9) in a combustion chamber of the internal-combustion engine (1). The medium is actuated that the pressure build-up in the accumulator is above a pressure limit value, in which excess releases the fuel injection, during the operation of the pump. The delay continues a given number of turning cycles of the engine. An independent claim is also included for a control device for an internal-combustion engine, in which a high-pressure pump is used for promoting fuel from a fuel tank to an accumulator and a pressure adjusting medium is used for controlling the pressure p in the accumulator. |
