The present invention relates to a weed control composition comprising novel Streptomyces scopuliridis KR-001 strains or a culture medium thereof as an active ingredient. More particularly, the Streptomyces scopuliridis KR-001 strains, the culture medium thereof or a cultured fraction thereof according to the present invention exhibits excellent herbicidal activity against grasses, weeds, broadleaf weeds, and herbicide-resistant weeds. The culture composition which contains a carbon source and a nitrogen source under optimum conditions may significantly increase the yield rate of the active material produced by the strain in an inexpensive manner. Therefore, the strain can be effectively used in an herbicidal composition for weed control and in a weed control method.
