An IPS(In Plane Switching) mode LCD and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase an aperture ratio by horizontally disposing a data line and ensure a horizontal bonding margin. A TFT(Thin Film Transistor), a pixel electrode and a common electrode are formed in an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(200). A gate line is formed in one direction of the LCD panel. A data line is formed in the same direction as the gate line. A gate driver(300) applies a scan signal to the gate line. A data driver(400) applies a data signal to the data line by being synchronized with the scan signal. A timing controller(500) provides a gate control signal to the gate driver, and provides a data control signal and data to the data driver. |
