PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect transient signals even when a noise source having a large power is present outside a frequency band of the transient signals.SOLUTION: A passive sonar device includes: a signal processing unit that subjects signals subjected to the Fourier transformation to PDAGC processing to output normalized signals obtained by normalizing the signals subjected to the PDAGC processing, and calculates an orientation of a sound source from the signals to output the calculated orientation as orientation signals; a noise reduction unit that adds a frequency to at least one of the normalized signals and the orientation signals to generate and output noise reduction signals obtained by extracting signals having a short duration time; and a display unit that displays images on the basis of the noise reduction signals.
