PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taste improver for a sweetener having high sweetness, capable of effectively suppressing characteristic disagreeable aftertaste of the sweetener having high sweetness with a small addition amount without changing original taste and flavor of foods, drinks or oral hygiene products.SOLUTION: Characteristic disagreeable aftertaste of a sweetener having high sweetness is suppressed and tastes of foods, drinks or oral hygiene products are improved by adding at least one kind selected from a compound group consisting of dicarboxylic acid diester represented by the general formula 1, where n represents 0 or an integer of 1 to 8, R represents a methyl group or an ethyl group, a bond between the carbon atoms may either be a single bond or a double bond when n is 2, dimethyl carbonate and diethyl carbonate to foods, drinks or oral hygiene products containing high-sweetness sweetener. |
