PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide effective technology for improving characteristics of an electrochromic display device/secondary battery integrated solid-state element having both functions of a secondary battery and of an electrochromic display device.SOLUTION: The electrochromic display device/secondary battery integrated solid-state element includes: a substrate 11; a first electrode 12; a porous layer 16 comprising a semiconducting metal oxide; an active layer 13 comprising a composite material of a semiconducting metal oxide and an insulating metal oxide and reversibly inducing an oxidation-reduction reaction by application of a voltage; an electron block layer 14; and a second electrode 15. The active layer accumulates or emits charges by the oxidation-reduction reaction; and in association with the accumulation or emission of the charges, the electrochromic display device/secondary battery integrated solid-state element shows changes in the transmittance for light. |
