PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily produce a highly pure metal perfluoroalkyl sulfonate with an extremely small amount of impurities.SOLUTION: A method for producing a metal perfluoroalkyl sulfonate includes: adding an adsorbent to a solution in which a metal perfluoroalkyl sulfonate expressed by a chemical formula (CFSO).M (where n is an integer of 1-4, m is an integer of 1 or 2, and M is an alkaline metal selected from sodium and potassium or an alkaline earth metal selected from calcium and magnesium) is dissolved; and carrying out filtration.
