MAINTENANCE OF WIND POWER EQUIPMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD

The present invention relates to maintaining a wind power generation facility and more specifically, the invention is to safely lift down a heavy object without cranes or additional power sources in an emergency situation such as blackout that may occur while the heavy object moves up and down during the maintenance work of the wind power generation facility. The invention comprises a tower which is installed on the ground with a certain height to convert kinetic energy by wind into mechanical energy and cover the mechanical energy into electric energy; a nacelle which is placed at the upper part of the tower; a blade which is installed at the front of the nacelle and rotated by the wind; a winch used as a moving unit for the maintenance of the wind power generation facility; and a braking unit which breaks the rotation of the winch without the additional power sources when blackout occurs.
