PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting element which can increase the color rendering index (CRI).SOLUTION: A light emitting element 1 includes a first conductive semiconductor layer 7, an active layer 10 disposed on the first conductive semiconductor layer, and a second conductive semiconductor layer 9 disposed on the active layer. The active layer includes (T+1) barrier layers, T well layers disposed between the (T+1) barrier layers, and a dummy layer disposed between N well layers adjacent to the second conductive semiconductor layer and N barrier layers adjacent to the N well layers, where T>N≥1 is satisfied. |
