PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: when an image is acquired by applying edge enhancement in horizontal and vertical directions to each image height from the center of a lens to the periphery of the lens, which is obtained on the basis of conventional curvature of field, deterioration of image quality due to an adverse effect of image processing is observed.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus processes signals from an imaging device having an axially symmetric imaging optical system, and performs image processing with a value obtained by multiplying an edge enhancement parameter setting value of an imaging center that is an intersection of an optical axis of the imaging optical system and an imaging surface of the imaging device by a predetermined gain according to an image height, as an edge enhancement parameter setting value to a predetermined image height. The predetermined gain is determined according to an optical property of each image height. |
