The method involves providing whey to a fermenter (2) from a container (1a), and starting fermentation with lactic acid bacterium strain (B1) for converting milk sugar into lactic acid that is dosed with calcium and/or magnesium carbonate (3) in a tank (4) such that bioamino-1 product is produced in the container. Fermentation base liquid is supplied to a rotary unit (32) until the milk sugar is converted into the lactic acid and lactate is precipitated, where the lactate is pumped to a supply container (33). The lactate is dried in a drier (24) for forming an end product (25) as powder.
