The individual threads of a composite thread are passed parallely through the creping apparatus after which they are separated by a distance of at least 3 mm pref. by a comb. Pref. after separation then threads pass over rollers which maintain their parallel separation and then individually through guides arranged on the corners of a regular hexagon. The threads are then passed through a single anti-ballooning eyelet before being spun and re-spooled.
