PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing ceramic filter by using a ramming molding method and an automatic mold-ramming apparatus are provided not to effect on porosity size and distribution by preventing filling gap between silicon carbide particles even when crystallization by oxidation at high temperature during sintering is processed. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing ceramic filter comprises the following steps: (S21) preparing 100 wt% of silicon carbide as raw material of a supporting layer of a candle filter, 4-7 wt% of mullite which is inorganic binder for sintered compound, 0.5-3 wt% of strontium carbonate (SrCO3), 4-7 wt% of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and 5-8 wt% of water as a solvent; (S22) producing a filter molding product by mixing the prepared material by sieving and (S24) stomping and compressing mixed raw material mixed by an automatic mold-ramming apparatus; (S25,S26) sintering after drying the molded body of a filter; (S29) making a mixed solution by mixing and milling 100 wt% of mullite, 0.5-2 wt% of CMC which is organic binder, and 100-120 wt% of water and forming a filter film by coating molded body surface of a filter supporter with the mixed solution; and (S30) sintering the molded body on which the mixed solution is coated.
