PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a siloxane compound having a novel reactive functional group and meeting, as an LED sealing material, both demands of light resistance and low modulus of elasticity at a low temperature, a curable resin composition using the same, and an optical semiconductor element using the curable resin composition as a sealing material.SOLUTION: The curable resin composition provided by the present invention includes (A) a novel reactive functional group-containing siloxane compound which is a blocked siloxane oligomer comprising a catenulate silicone segment and a segment consisting of a hydrolyzed and condensed tri(C1-C10)alkoxysilane having a group selected from the group consisting of reactive functional groups having epoxy groups; a methyl group; and an ethyl group in a state where the hydrolyzed and condensed segment is at least partially a segment including a reactive functional group possessing at least one epoxy group and (B) a curative; an optical semiconductor element sealed by a cured product of the same (e.g., LED) is also provided; the sealed optical semiconductor element is excellent in terms of light resistance and low modulus of elasticity at a low temperature. The siloxane compound can be obtained by reacting, at a first reaction step, alkoxy groups of an alkoxysilane compound within an equivalent value range of 1.5-200 with respect to 1 equivalent of silanol groups of a silanol-terminated silicone oil (b) and by subsequently inducing, at a second reaction step, a hydrolyzing and condensing reaction of the alkoxysilane and alkoxy groups of the product obtained at the first reaction step in the presence of water. |
