PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective element capable of easily making it melt by the heat from the heat generator, and shunting off a circuit by surely dividing a molten solder.SOLUTION: A protective element 10 comprises: an insulating substrate 11; a heat generator deposited on the insulating substrate 11 and covered with an insulating member 15; electrodes 12(A1), 12(A2); a heat generator extraction electrode 16 deposited on the insulating member 15 so as to overlap the heat generator 14; and a soluble conductor 13 in which its both edges are connected to electrodes 12(A1), 12(A2), and its central part is connected to the heat generator extraction electrode 16 having a protective film 8. The soluble conductor 13 consists of a thick part 13a and a thin part 13b formed thin and flat. The shape of the heat generator extraction electrode 16 extending to a direction perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the soluble conductor 13 is set so that an area of the heat generator 14 at an electrode 18a(P1) side is larger than that of a position where the thin part 13b of the soluble conductor 13 and the heat generator extraction electrode 16 are connected with each other. |
