PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accumulate articles 2 conveyed in horizontally laid states by erecting a plurality of articles after stacking the articles.SOLUTION: An article accumulation device includes: a first conveyor 4 conveying articles 2 in a row; a second conveyor 6 which is disposed in a direction orthogonal to the first conveyor 4, includes a flat section A, a circular arc section B and a storage section C provided in a vertical conveyance section on the upstream side and includes a receiving member 34 and a support member 36 mounted on a conveyance surface; and reception and delivery means 10 positioning the receiving member of the second conveyor in the storage section and receives and delivers articles 2 conveyed by the first conveyor 4 to the second conveyor 6. Further, the article accumulation device includes a shutter 46 movable between an upper position and a saving position of the storage section C. After receiving and delivering the articles 2 in an advanced state of the shutter 46 on the storage section C, the shutter 46 is retreated and the articles 2 are placed on the receiving member. After stacking a plurality of the articles 2 on the receiving member, the receiving member and the support member are moved to the flat section and the articles 2 are erected. |
