PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge device that suppresses the occurrence of a failure due to light leakage of an illumination device.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device 1 comprises: a liquid discharge head 10 having a plurality of discharge nozzles that discharge liquid that is cured upon receiving light onto a medium W; a light irradiation part 11 for applying light to the medium W; a detection part 12 for detecting the shape of the medium W; and a control unit 5 that changes the application direction of the light applied from the light irradiation part 11 to the medium W, according to the shape of the medium W detected by the detection part 12. |
