The sensor has top layer selection Y-electrodes (42) and bottom layer drive X-electrodes (44) arranged on two surfaces and exhibiting first and second forms, respectively. Floating electrodes (46) and ground electrodes (48) are arranged on the two surfaces and exhibit third and fourth forms, respectively. The third form and the fourth form enclose the second form and the first form, where the third and fourth forms are positioned on the two surfaces relative to the Y and X-electrodes, respectively. The surfaces are formed as opposing surfaces of two substrates, respectively. The top layer selection Y-electrodes form a diamond pattern or a flake pattern. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an apparatus comprising a logic (2) a machine-readable, non-transitory storage medium comprising a set of instructions for controlling a touch sensor.
