PURPOSE: A tip-dressing inspection system and a method thereof are provided to analyze the amount of a cut welding gun tip and a load current of a motor driving a cutter and to diagnose the malfunction of a tip dresser and the failure of grinding. CONSTITUTION: A tip-dressing inspection system includes a central control device (100), a robot control device (200), and a tip-dressing control device (300). The central control device controls the vehicle production per each vehicle model according to a production plan of a vehicle body producing line. The robot control device controls performs spot-welding by controlling a welding robot according to the control of the central control device, counts the number of spots by the welding robot, and provides to the central control device. The tip-dressing control device performs the tip-dressing of a welding gun according to the control of the central control device.
