APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING HORIZONTAL STATE OF VEHICLE USING LASER SENSOR AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING ERROR OF TPMS USING THE SAME

An apparatus for detecting the horizontal level of a vehicle using a laser sensor and a method for determining TPMS error using the same are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) which senses the air pressure of a vehicle tire; a laser module which senses the horizontal level of the vehicle using laser sensors respectively installed at front and rear tires of the vehicle; and a control unit which determines whether or not TPMS error occurs according to whether or not the TPMS senses the air pressure of the vehicle tire based on the horizontal level of the vehicle. The apparatus can provide the base by which whether to control the vehicle orientation is determined, determine the abnormality of air pressure in the tire, and prevent malfunction in the TPMS for drivers not to get confused.
