PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "display device" including an imaging element which does not impair design and/or aesthetics.SOLUTION: The display device with a built-in camera module of the present invention has a liquid crystal panel 112 that can display an image on the basis of image data, a backlight unit 114, a light source 116 including infrared LEDs 116A and white LEDs 116B, and a camera module 120 arranged at a rear side of the backlight unit to be able to image an object through the liquid crystal panel 112. A portion of a display area of the liquid crystal panel 112 is allocated as an infrared light transmitting area 130 transmitting infrared light. A display image in the infrared light transmitting area 130 is controlled to transmit the infrared light. |
