PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve refinement efficiency and at the same time efficiently melt a cold iron source.SOLUTION: In a dephosphorization method for molten pig iron, bottom blowing tuyeres are arranged so that two bottom blowing tuyeres placed at symmetrical positions with respect to a central axis of a converter constitute a pair, and at least one pair of bottom blowing tuyeres is controlled during oxygen blowing-in from an oxygen top blowing lance so as to maintain a relation where the flow rate of gas blown from one tuyere is increased or decreased in comparison with the flow rate of gas blown from the other tuyere.
