A magnetic conveyer for iron filings comprises a stationary U-shaped trough 5, a plurality of transverse rows of permanent magnets 4 fixed below the trough and a plurality of scrapers 9 suspended between a pair of endless chains 8 for movement in the trough. The scrapers 9 may have resilient, metallic or a combination thereof tips 10 and are pivoted to the chain to move parallel therewith on the return run.</p> |
