PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component for a vacuum pump capable of appropriately performing formation processing for a coating of a surface of a fiber-reinforced composite material, and provide the vacuum pump.SOLUTION: In a component for a vacuum pump, a plate layer 626 is formed, which is a coating, as a coating layer, on the surface of a second cylindrical member 62 with a cylindrical shape comprising a fiber-reinforced composite material. The plate layer 626 is formed by a removal processing step of removing a surface portion including a mold release agent layer 622 from the surface of the second cylindrical member 62 with the cylindrical shape, and a surface-roughening step of surface-roughening a surface 623 of the second cylindrical member 62 after the surface portion including the mold release agent layer 622 is removed. |
