PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel water membrane comprising a lipid bilayer incorporating functional aqua-porin.SOLUTION: A lipid bilayer is arranged in a sandwich structure including hydrophilic or hydrophobic support layer. A water purification device and system are disclosed, and include a reverse osmosis filtering device including a membrane having a functional aqua-porin. A method of water purification and a method of preparing the membrane are also disclosed. The invention provides a new hydrophobic polymer film where a hole is formed, and the membrane comprises the lipid bilayer having trans-membrane protein other than the aqua-porin to be introduced.
