PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert a color gamut while maintaining good gradation.SOLUTION: A color gamut conversion device 100 is a color gamut conversion device that converts a color gamut of an input image into a color gamut of an output color space for outputting the input image, and includes first correction means 104 for performing correction to compress saturation with respect to a conversion object color and increase luminance in an equal hue surface including the conversion object color in a luminance color difference separation space along a correction direction extending from the outside of the color gamut of the output color space toward the inside of the color gamut. The first correction means 104 increases a ratio of the increment of the luminance to the compression amount of the saturation in the correction as at least one of the luminance and the saturation of the conversion object color increases, and in the equal hue surface, when a conversion object color point is located on a first straight line that passes a white point and a maximum saturation point, takes a direction extending toward the white point along the first straight line as the correction direction. |
